// What is IP Tracker?

IP Tracker (ip-tracker.eu) is a free, open-access network intelligence tool that provides detailed technical information about any IP address or domain name. It was built for network engineers, system administrators, security researchers, and curious users who need fast, accurate, and comprehensive network data without registration or API keys.

Unlike many IP lookup tools that rely on a single data source, ip-tracker.eu aggregates data from multiple authoritative sources — combining geolocation databases, regional internet registries, RDAP/IANA registration data, live DNS queries, TLS handshake analysis, and country metadata — to give you the most complete picture possible.

// What the Tool Shows

For any IP address, ip-tracker.eu returns:

• Geolocation — country, region, city, coordinates, timezone (via MaxMind GeoLite2)
• ASN & ISP — Autonomous System Number, organization name, network prefix, RIR allocation (via BGPView)
• Country metadata — capital, population, currency, languages, flag, borders (via RestCountries)

For any domain name, it returns all of the above for the domain's IP, plus:

• DNS records — A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT, SOA records via live DNS queries
• SSL/TLS certificate — issuer, validity period, days until expiry, Subject Alternative Names
• Email security — SPF and DMARC records, parsed and explained
• WHOIS / RDAP — registrar, registration date, expiry date, nameservers, status flags

// Data Sources

All data is fetched in real time or from locally maintained databases. No data is sold to third parties. Results are cached briefly (up to 30 minutes) to reduce load on upstream APIs.

// Privacy & Data Policy

IP Tracker does not require registration, login, or personal information to use. Lookup queries may be temporarily cached in server memory for up to 30 minutes to improve performance, but we do not maintain a persistent lookup history or sell user data.

The tool uses Google Analytics (GA4) to measure aggregate traffic, and Google AdSense to display advertisements. Both services may set cookies. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Geolocation data is sourced from MaxMind's GeoLite2 database under the GeoLite2 End User License Agreement. This product includes GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind, available from maxmind.com.

// How Content Is Maintained

IP-Tracker.eu documentation is written and maintained alongside the network lookup tool. Technical guides are reviewed when the tool, its data sources, or relevant networking standards change.

The guides focus on explaining the same fields returned by the lookup tool, including IP addressing, ASN and routing information, DNS records, RDAP registration data, TLS certificates, and email authentication records.

// Accuracy & Limitations

• Country-level geolocation is generally more reliable than city-level geolocation, but IP-based location is always an estimate
• City-level accuracy varies — VPNs, proxies, and corporate networks often route traffic through central locations that don't reflect the user's physical location
• ASN and routing data is based on public routing and registration information and may change as networks update their announcements
• DNS records are live queries — results reflect the current DNS state at the time of lookup
• SSL certificates are fetched via a real TLS handshake — results are current
• WHOIS/RDAP data may be incomplete for some TLDs where registrars limit disclosure
